More than 100 stories of students from seven local schools have participated in the literary contest for high school bearing the name of which was Professor of Language and Literature Institute Martín Ibáñez, Pascual Angeles
The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, and the Councillor for Education of the City of Lorca, José Joaquín Peñarrubia, have given the Angels Awards Paschal II story for high school students in the Cultural Center of the city.
In this second edition of the competition that bears the name of which was Professor of Language and Literature Institute José Ibáñez Martín and adopted daughter Lorca, Angel Pascual, 106 participated narratives of Sierra Almenara IES, IES Pedanías High, Prince of Asturias IES , IES Martín Ibáñez, IES No. 6, College Sun City and Colegio San Francisco de Assisi.
The awards, judged by the jury chaired by the very Angeles Pascual and which included the Councillor for Education, high school literature teachers and librarians of the county, have fallen on this issue in Re Elisa Miller for "The sunsets of Matthew" , in the category for pupils of 1 and 2 º ESO, and José María Pérez Remesal by "Your Name" in the category for pupils of 3 and 4 of the ESO.
They have also been awarded in the category of 1 º and 2 º ESO, Álvaro Ríos García won the second prize and José Morillas Jerez with the third, while the finalists were Jose Antonio Caballero García, Marina Peñas García and Andrés Soto Galian.
In the mode for students of 3 º and 4 º ESO, Victoria López Navarro was awarded the second prize, Carmen Lidia Pérez Segura the third, the finalists were Jose Manuel Plazas Marín, Arturo Bastida and Claudia Navarro Latorre Varga.
Jódar congratulated the winners and all participants, encouraging them to "fail not to write you to continue using the literature to share your feelings, your dreams, your truths, because you always Literature open new paths."
In this sense, the Mayor stressed the importance of "events that, like this encourage more young people to write and enhance their creativity and imagination."
Moreover, Jódar wanted to make a sincere thanks to LA Pascual, who noted that "Lorca has been much more than a teacher of language arts, and therefore, this city will be forever indebted to her."
