The Local Government has given the green light to the signing of this agreement unique to the Regional Government, which will relieve the cost of basic services in the municipal accounts and make new investments, thanks to a contribution of 2,455,186 euros to municipal coffers.
The Spokesman of the Government Team of the City of Lorca, Lali Ibarra has reported that Local Government has given the green light to the signing of an agreement by which the Autonomous Community will contribute EUR 2,455,186 to finance current expenditure .
This amount doubles the contribution made by the Regional Government to the City Council in 2009, amounting to 1,206,511 euros.
The economic contribution from the Fund for Local Cooperation, constitutes an important contribution to cover the basic municipal services such as maintenance of street lighting and roads, and an essential tool to avoid further indebtedness of the municipal coffers, also allowing City funds intended for investment.
"With this agreement will improve the functioning of local administration, it boosts the economy and create jobs in the service sector," stressed the spokesman.
Incubator support of the Chamber of Commerce
In another development, the Local Government Board has approved a grant of EUR 9,114.24 to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Lorca, to cover the costs of operating the Business Incubator of this entity, located on the street Espin Alta.
In this infrastructure, located in the town center, entrepreneurs can set up business offices in an office with access to common services such as reception and meeting rooms, for a price of 200 or 275 euros per month, depending on the size of offices.
