The Director of the Institute of Youth in the Region of Murcia, Veronica Lopez and the Youth City Council mayor of Lorca, Joaquin Ruiz Montalvan presented this morning in the Consistory of Alicante, the First Edition of the National Olympiad to be held Leisure Sun City 1 to July 4, 2010 and will bring together more than 20,000 young people from different Spanish regions.

Ruiz Montalvan has commented that "the Olympics, which will run through 12 tests, seeks to promote the values of the Olympic spirit of coexistence, coping, friendship, solidarity and fair play.
In total, during the four days that were developed and are expected to involve over 700 young people in different races scheduled, 300 volunteers and more than 20,000 people between attendees and participants.
The activities are aimed at young people between 18 and 30 who were born or resident in Spain and have no professional fees in the category in which they compete. "
During the meeting there will be different competitions like the 'Battle of the Bands' (contest bands and music groups), 'Drum', where two groups face different instruments and 'Street Dance', a competition of modern dance groups.
It has also organized a 'football tournament', 'Paintball', 'Videogames' (sets of various consoles in competition),' Batalla de Gallos' (demonstration of the art of reciting) 'Skate', 'Graffiti', ' Karts', 'Videostreet' (display of images to the beat of electronic music) and 'Circus', with a juggling competition.
In addition, leisure activities have been organized in parallel, such as exhibitions, conferences, workshops and recreational spaces.
The meeting is organized by the Instituto Municipal de la Juventud de Lorca in collaboration with the Institute of Youth in the Region, the Youth Councils of Spain and the Region and the City.
