The Department of Employment has formed this group of unemployed in the auxiliary areas of archeology, restoration of heritage, cuisine and tourism development officer.
Participants received a salary of 1.5 times the minimum wage during the 12 month program.
The Minister for Employment of the Autonomous Community Sotoca Constantine, and the Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar has handed their diplomas this morning at 32 students, workers Employment Workshop "Cronos", all unemployed persons over 25 years.
This theoretical and practical training program participants divided into four fields: Archaeology Assistant, Recovery of heritage, cuisine and tourist development agent.
In addition to training in each specialty, all workshops have been given additional training: Computer literacy, Occupational Health and Safety, environmental awareness, equal opportunities and career counseling, career information and corporate governance, which has allowed them to contact the workplace, and business advice to start their own company and know the resources that the Department of Employment offers, such as incubators and advisory service.
The performance of the student workers Assistant focused on archaeological excavation and archaeological record of different historical periods of construction of the wall of the town of Lorca, in their part of the Cuesta de San Ginés.
Participants in the workshop of heritage restoration have recovered a small part of the artistic heritage of the city of Lorca, which includes eight pieces heraldic XV to XX century and a dozen prehistoric archaeological ceramics from the thirteenth century.
In the Kitchen workshop student-workers have acquired the basic knowledge of the hospitality industry, and the area of cooking and baking.
It has the hands-on cooking of different countries, such as Spanish, with a gastronomic tour of the different regions and preparing a variety of dishes from each, as well as basic cooking skills to strengthen existing the students.
Finally, the Agent of tourism development have been identified, analyzed and evaluated the development of tourism in the town of Lorca, planned tourism development in the area.
They have also conducted feasibility studies for companies related to this sector.
Jodar said "both the training plan as works and services will improve their skills, and therefore better able to deal with preparation for the labor market."
This Workshop on Employment, which is part of the ambitious City Employment Training, has had a budget of 780,658 euros '56, of which the Regional Employment Service and Training has provided 654,067 euros '2 and the city of Lorca 126,591 euros '36.
After the closing ceremony the Mayor has accompanied the director of the Palace of Guevara, which will be exhibited until the end of the month a sample of the work in this employment workshop.
