The Socialist Party has joined protests today to the residents of Barrio de San Cristóbal who have returned have to express their discomfort with the development of works in the High Street.
The general secretary of the PSOE in Lorca, Diego Ferra, has described as "dire" and "shameful" the management of the renovation because, after seven months, the neighbors have to keep traveling on a road that looks like a minefield ".
Ferra has criticized the length of the work due to the small number of workers "while there are thousands of unemployed Lorca."
In that regard, he recalled the PP mayor of the City Council awarded the work to a company that theoretically would employ more than one hundred workers.
Over recent weeks there have been numerous falls in elderly people and children "who are forced to travel between potholes, puddles, mud and among heavy machinery."
The Socialist leader also recalled that a punishment would be forty days to the start of Holy Week and that neighbors are "seriously concerned" about whether he can develop normally the Procession of Silence.
Therefore, from the PSOE require the PP government team to make "the necessary" in order to hire the necessary staff to complete a work "financed by the Government of Spain through E Plan but whose sponsor is the City" .
