The Deputy Secretary of the Congress considers that the Covenant of State for Education necessarily involves ensuring educational equality between all the Spanish and comprehensively reform the political content of Education for Citizenship
The Vice President of the Congress of Deputies, Ana Pastor, now participates in an act Lorca Education sector at the regional level organized by the Popular Party.
In the same take part the President of the PP Lorca and mayor, Francisco Jodar, and the Deputy Secretary of the PP in the Region of Murcia, José Gabriel Ruiz, Secretary of Education regional PP, M ª Carmen Moreno, as well as Presidents of the FAMP Lorca, José Marcos García, Murcia, Ginés Martínez, and Cartagena, Emilio Bernal, and directors of different schools in our city.
Since the PP have opted for the consolidation of two pillars to increase the quality of education in Spain.
This is the recovery of the authority of teachers to students and the firm commitment by the culture of effort.
PP sources have indicated that currently must change in the socialist model in education for school failure that has been generated.
This party advocates for having a quality education for all and end all at once with a model that has proved ineffective with a school dropout rate of 30%.
Ana Pastor, who was Deputy Minister of Education and Culture, has indicated that the socialist educational system has led to an erosion of the values of effort, responsibility and authority, and has serious deficiencies in learning the basics.
In fact young people are a serious problem because this educational model has made clear its inability to provide the training required for their employment, resulting in a youth unemployment, which exceeds 42%.
Ana Pastor said that a pact hippotético education should be based on clear objectives to improve quality and outcomes of education and training system, which must pass without fail to ensure freedom of education, ensuring education in Castilian in throughout Spain, and the realization of a common lessons to structure the Spanish educational system.
In this sense, the Popular Party is proposing a National Strategy for the Improvement of Education to recover and strengthen the values that are needed in the training process, and are essential for success in school.
We are talking about promoting a new culture of accountability and assessment, improving school curricula and the effectiveness of learning in Infant and
Primary as well as a restructuring of secondary education to reduce dropout, and enhance the learning of English.
Ana Pastor has opted also to remove the contents of Education for Citizenship.
The Socialist government demonstrates not really want an education pact
Since the PP have complained that the Ministry document is far from the PP's proposals for a pact for reform and improvement of education in Spain.
The fundamental pillars of Education Pact proposed by the PP are:
a) Improve the quality, focus on school achievement in all educational stages
b) Ensuring equality between Spanish schoolchildren.
This requires a common basic education in all educational stages, and to ensure, among other things, maintaining the national corps of teachers.
c) Ensure and expand educational freedoms enshrined in the Constitution, through a harmonious development of the right to education and academic freedom.
d) To provide the best framework for exercising the right of parents to choose the type of education and the center where their children to school.
e) Ensure the teaching of Castilian and Castilian in Spain and the freedom of parents to choose the language of instruction in which to educate their children.
Without consensus on these pillars and how to address the reforms needed to guarantee them could not speak of the true state Pact needed in our educational system
