The Socialist Councillor Isabel Casalduero today expressed concern over the development of the refurbishment of the Plaza of Spain.
The PSOE mayor recalled that his party has called on two occasions the Mayor of PP, Francisco Jodar, the urgent convening of the Board of Spokesmen and "until now we had no answer, nor are we given information is modified being carried out on the initial project cost. "
Casalduero lamented the "opacity" and "lack of consensus" of the PP government team about the work which is one of the most symbolic places in the city.

Finally Casalduero wondered why was it necessary to address the renovations when there are dozens of streets and plazas in neighborhoods and districts with urgent needs and when "the heart of Lorca is raised by the works of E Plan."
Therefore, the mayor said there are good reasons to demand the resignation of Councillor responsible for this work, or at least it apart from this action in favor of another member of the team of government and the mayor of Works Angel Mecca.
But above all, Casalduero asked, urgently, to ensure transit "insurance" in the Plaza with a view to the celebration of Easter, "not as is happening in other town streets being opened to traffic deplorable conditions and are assuming a risk to the integrity of pedestrians and vehicles. "
