Youth Councillor of the City of Lorca, Joaquin Ruiz, and Education, José Joaquín Peñarrubia, this morning visited the Colegio San José, on the occasion of a workshop on good nutrition and a healthy breakfast has been held with students of 1 to 4 of Primary, within their Cultural Week, which coincides with the feast of its patron.
The Municipal Youth Institute has been doing in 9 schools and three institutes of Lorca these workshops in which a dietitian is responsible for explaining to children and how to get a healthy diet and its benefits, after which he takes a healthy breakfast with juice, milk, fruit and bread with oil.
This activity is part of the educational program IMJUVE "La Pera Newton" and adds to those developed by the Department of Health for a healthy diet and the Regional Government in the campaign for a "Consumption of fruit in schools."
