The Ministry of Agriculture and Water, through the General Directorate of Natural Heritage, has completed the work on improving habitat in Campico Peñuelas and Sierra de la Tercia, in the municipality of Lorca, which involves an investment of 88,000 euros have generated a total of 480 working wages.
The actions taken include silvicultural treatments on about nine hectares of land, thinning, pruning and chipping residues in almond, olive and fig trees.

In the Sierra de la Tercia barricades have been built 50 of drywall, and has performed a restore plant species generated platforms Aleppo pine, wild olive, black hawthorn, rosemary and esparto.
